The maharashtra laxmi weekly draw is held on Saturday at 4:15 PM IST under the current Maharashtra State Lottery schedule. The name is also written as Maharashtralaxmi in the department’s result list, so checking the draw name and date together is important.
This guide explains the current day and time, why other Laxmi-named draws cause confusion, how to read the result PDF, and what to do before making a prize claim.
Maharashtra Laxmi weekly draw: the short answer
The draw most people mean by “Maharashtra Laxmi” is the Maharashtralaxmi Weekly Draw. The current state schedule places it on Saturday, with the weekly draw time shown in result notices as 4:15 PM Indian Standard Time.
The Maharashtra State Lottery’s current result page lists the Maharashtralaxmi weekly result separately from other Saturday results. That distinction matters because the same page can also show Sahyadri, Gajlaxmi and Ganeshlaxmi draws for the same date.
| Detail | Current reference |
|---|---|
| Draw name | Maharashtralaxmi Weekly Draw |
| Common search name | Maharashtra Laxmi weekly draw |
| Draw day | Saturday |
| Draw time | 4:15 PM IST |
| Official result source | Maharashtra State Lottery result page |
The official schedule can be revised. For a particular Saturday, match the date and draw name in the latest result notice rather than relying on an old social-media post or forwarded image.
Why the Laxmi names confuse people
Maharashtra’s weekly programme contains several draw families, and many of their names include “Laxmi”. A search for “Laxmi lottery result today” can therefore bring up a different draw from the one on a ticket.
The word Maharashtralaxmi identifies the Saturday weekly draw. It is different from Sahyadri Mahalaxmi, which appears in the Tuesday group, and Vaibhavlaxmi, which appears in the Friday group. Gajlaxmi and Ganeshlaxmi also use day-specific names throughout the week.
Here is the useful name map from the current weekly schedule. It helps you identify the correct draw family; it does not indicate any future result.
| Day | First-listed weekly draw | Other weekly draw names in the same day group |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | Sagarlaxmi | Sahyadri Dhanlaxmi, Gajlaxmi Som, Ganeshlaxmi Bhagyashali |
| Tuesday | Padmini | Sahyadri Mahalaxmi, Gajlaxmi Mangal, Ganeshlaxmi Shubh |
| Wednesday | Akshay | Sahyadri Vijayalaxmi, Gajlaxmi Budh, Ganeshlaxmi Vijayee |
| Thursday | Aakarshak Pushkaraj | Sahyadri Deeplaxmi, Gajlaxmi Guru, Ganeshlaxmi Gaurav |
| Friday | Vaibhavlaxmi | Sahyadri Rajlaxmi, Gajlaxmi Shukra, Ganeshlaxmi Dhan |
| Saturday | Maharashtralaxmi | Sahyadri Prabhalaxmi, Gajlaxmi Shani, Ganeshlaxmi Samrudhi |
| Sunday | Mohini | Gajlaxmi Ravi, Ganeshlaxmi Vaibhav |
The schedule describes a group of 27 weekly draws. This is why two result PDFs may carry the same Saturday date but different draw names and result tables.
Current draw day and time
For the Maharashtra Laxmi weekly draw, remember Saturday, 4:15 PM IST. The time is not the same thing as the time when a result page appears on a website: a PDF may be uploaded shortly after the draw, and a page may take longer to refresh.
Use this simple check on draw day:
- Confirm that the date is the Saturday you mean.
- Look for Maharashtralaxmi, not just the word “Laxmi”.
- Check that the notice says Weekly Draw.
- Treat 4:15 PM as the scheduled draw time, not a promise that every website will publish at exactly that minute.
- If the state department issues a revised schedule or holiday notice, follow that newer notice.
The official weekly schedule is the best place to check the planned draw list. The state website also says that weekly draws are conducted across the week except for specified national holidays, so a holiday can affect the normal pattern.
How to read the Maharashtra Laxmi result
An official result notice normally gives you enough information to identify the draw before you compare any ticket. Do not start with a number copied from a message; start with the heading.
Check the PDF in this order:
- Draw name: The heading should identify the Maharashtra State Lottery and the Maharashtralaxmi weekly draw.
- Date of draw: The date must match the date printed on your ticket or receipt.
- Draw number: This helps distinguish one weekly notice from another.
- Series: The result table may show series such as ML-00, ML-01 and other ML series. Match the series on your ticket before checking the number.
- Prize rank and amount: Read the row label carefully. A first-prize row is not the same as a consolation or lower-prize row.
- Full number: Compare every digit from left to right. Do not treat a partial match as a confirmed result.
The state schedule and individual result notices can change their prize structure, ticket details or formatting. Use the latest PDF for the particular draw; an old screenshot is not a substitute for the official notice. For a general explanation of headings, ranks and series, see our guide on how to read a lottery result sheet.
How to check the official result
The Maharashtra State Lottery website is the primary place to verify a result. Its result list displays the file name and date, and the file name identifies which weekly draw the PDF belongs to.
Follow these steps:
- Open the Maharashtra State Lottery result list.
- Find the relevant Saturday date.
- Select the entry labelled Maharashtralaxmi or its Marathi equivalent, rather than another Saturday draw.
- Open the PDF and check the heading, date, draw number, series and prize row.
- Keep the official PDF with your original ticket until the claim process is complete.
If you use a result publisher for a quicker text view, use it as a reading aid and verify the details against the state result. Our article on official state lottery websites in India explains why the domain and the draw heading should be checked together.
Be careful with messages saying that you have won before a draw, asking for an “activation” payment, or requesting an OTP, bank password or remote-access app. A result notice tells you what was published; it does not ask you to pay a private caller to release a prize.
Prize claims for a Maharashtra Laxmi result
The Maharashtra State Lottery’s claim page gives different routes based on the prize amount. The official instructions say that prizes up to ₹10,000 can be claimed from the retail agent from whom the ticket was purchased. Prizes above ₹10,000 are claimed through the Deputy Director, Maharashtra State Lottery, Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
The state page also says that the claim must be made with the original ticket within 90 days of the draw date. Keep the ticket safe, readable and unaltered. Before sending documents, open the official prize-claim instructions and use the current forms and contact details shown there.
For a larger prize, the official page links to documents including the claim form, bond and bank details form. Do not hand over an original ticket to an unknown person or send money to a caller who promises faster processing. If you are unsure about a form, contact the department using the numbers on its official page or visit the instructed office route.
You can also read our lottery prize claim time-limit guide for general planning. The Maharashtra department’s own 90-day instruction takes priority for this draw.
Tax and safe result checks
Lottery winnings are taxable income. The Income Tax Department’s explanation of section 115BB applies a 30% tax rate to lottery winnings, while section 194B covers tax deduction at source in relevant cases. Surcharge, cess, threshold rules and the final tax position can depend on the current law and your circumstances.
Read the Income Tax Department’s section 115BB guidance and verify the current rate before filing or accepting a payment. This article is general information, not personal tax or legal advice.
For safety, use this short checklist:
- Verify the state result PDF, draw name and date.
- Compare the full series and number with the original ticket.
- Do not pay a processing fee to receive a prize.
- Do not share OTPs, PINs, passwords or remote-access permissions.
- Check the claim deadline before contacting an agent or office.
- Check whether lottery activity is legal where you are located and follow local rules.
